Fenya is in heat – and we’re looking for the right one ❤️

Fenya has come into heat (21/01/2026), and that means the house is suddenly filled with hormones, strategic walks and an owner who constantly keeps an eye on the calendar. While some count down the days to the weekend or winter holidays, the days here are counted to find exactly the right moment. The search is on for the right male dog for Fenya. And no – it’s not just about charm and handsome ears (even though that does count a little).

It’s about health, temperament and strong bloodlines.🧬

The future gentleman in her life needs to be a good match both mentally and physically, so that responsible choices can be made with a focus on the well-being of the breed. Fenya herself seems… ambivalent. One day, she is the most independent lady in the world, the next, she looks out the window as if she is waiting for someone. Walks now happen at a pace that mostly resembles “let’s just stop here for a little longer”, and unfamiliar male dogs are met with a mix of interest and very clear boundaries. Time is being taken with the process, in dialogue with breeders, vets and the Danish Kennel Club, so that everything is done properly and thoughtfully. When the right match has been found and the timing is perfect, the next step will be taken.

Until then, life is simply enjoyed with Fenya being Fenya – in heat, full of personality and with a calendar that dictates things a bit more than usual.
