The selected combination between Fenya and Zorba is carefully planned with a focus on uniting documented health, strong breed type, and a stable temperament.
Zorba represents international show lines from Eastern Europe and the Balkans and has achieved a number of international titles and placements. He has also undergone extensive health testing, including orthopedic examinations and DNA tests for relevant hereditary diseases in the breed.
The combination is put together with the aim to:
• ensure broad genetic variation
• reduce the risk of hereditary diseases
• preserve and strengthen breed-typical qualities
• support a stable and well-functioning temperament
The pedigrees show an inbreeding coefficient of 0% (3 generations), which contributes to a healthy genetic foundation.
The purpose of this mating is to unite international and Danish lines and to breed Miniature Pinschers with:

The combination is planned in accordance with the Danish Kennel Club’s (DKK) ethical recommendations and current breeding regulations
Fenya has been examined for patellar luxation with a result of 0/0 and has passed the eye examination without remarks.
Zorba has been examined for patellar luxation with a result of 0/0, hip dysplasia assessed as B (both sides), and elbow dysplasia 0. In addition, he has been DNA-tested (Orivet) and is clear of breed-relevant diseases.
The combination has been selected with a particular focus on breed-relevant health parameters, including patellar luxation, which is a key focus area for the Miniature Pinscher.
The breeding is planned in accordance with the Danish Kennel Club’s ethical breeding recommendations, including the use of breeding animals without clinical signs of disease only, and with the aim of promoting health, functionality, and breed-typical expression.
The combination is considered justifiable from a health perspective and within current guidelines.
🧬 Breeding, health and selected combinations 🧬
At Nordic Zwergpinscher, breeding is approached in a structured and responsible way, where health, temperament, breed type and genetic diversity form the foundation of all decisions.
Fenya has been health tested in accordance with the breed’s official recommendations and is considered suitable for breeding. She has been examined for patella luxation (0/0) and eye tested with approved results, and continuous attention is given to both her physical and mental wellbeing.
The breeding programme is based on responsibility, transparency and a long-term approach to the development of the breed. In practice, this means that each combination is carefully planned with consideration for both the individual dog’s welfare and the overall health and future of the breed.
A holistic evaluation is applied, where health results, genetic background, temperament and breed-specific qualities are all taken into account. Genetic diversity is prioritised in order to support a sustainable breeding foundation and to avoid unnecessary inbreeding.
The breeding process also includes an ongoing assessment of available knowledge regarding the breed and specific lines. In some cases, observations or suspicions of conditions in older dogs may occur without a confirmed diagnosis. Such information is taken seriously and included in the overall evaluation, but is always considered in the context of documented health, age and other relevant factors.
