Gestation update (Day 38)

Today we are at day 38 of the pregnancy.

The top photo was taken last night, and you can clearly see the difference compared to the bottom photo, which was taken on the day of mating.

Signs of pregnancy can now be seen in the developing mammary glands.
We can also see what is often called pinking up 💕 — the nipples have become more pink and fuller instead of pale.

At this stage, the puppies are developing skin pigmentation, and their coat colour is beginning to form. At the same time, both claws and whiskers are starting to develop.

This is always an exciting time 🥰 — and yes, she is pregnant.
We expect to take an X-ray later this month to get a more precise idea of how many little bundles we will be welcoming. 📦🐶🐾
